Men in Childcare and Education Kenya
Having more men working in early years services encourages more men to use the service.
In Kenya in Sept 2009 was the launch of the men in ECD club namely National Chapions Club For Early Childhood Care [NACCEC] Henry Manini was the chief guest and later was requested to be the patron for purposes of guidance and advice.
The meeting consisted of 24 ECDE practioners who included few women from different training institutions.They elected their leaders a Chairman/Champion, Secretary and Treasurer.
The leaders were requested to plan for constitution making for newly found club and its registration.The group then discussed many issues which included recruitment of new members,advocacy, setting, moderation and marking of the ECDE teachers exams.
